Description
WashU Medicine is seeking an Academic Specialist Physician to join our team in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at WashU Medicine in St. Louis. The practice cares for a large volume of both obstetric and gynecologic patients and provides oversight for the residency-training continuity clinics. Inpatient services are provided at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Parkview Tower, a new facility constructed in 2018. Labor & Delivery is directly connected via skybridge to the Level IV NICU at St. Louis Children's Hospital and provides state-of-the-art services to our patients. There are 18 L&D rooms, 3 ORs, (including one for our Fetal Care Program), 18 antepartum rooms, and 36 postpartum rooms.
Interested applicants should have a strong reputation for clinical care and resident and medical student education. In addition to the Academic Specialist Division, our department includes faculty specializing in Gyn Oncology, MFM, Fetal Care, Urogynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Complex Family Planning, Minimally Invasive Gyn Surgery, and Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology.
Our Medical Center is 164-acre WashU Medicine campus, which includes the school of Medicine, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis Children's Hospital, BJC Health Care, and other allied health institutions such as the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and Goldfarb School of Nursing. The campus is located in the Central West End, one of St. Louis’s many vibrant neighborhoods featuring eclectic living, dining, and entertainment options.

Requirements
- Candidates must have an MD or DO
- Be US board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Missouri
- Have outstanding obstetric and surgical skills with interest in clinical activities
- Commitment to the education of residents and medical students
- Interest in furthering the academic mission of the division with opportunities for projects and collaboration in areas of your interest
