Position Description

Welcome to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology @ Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Medicine. Each year we deliver more than 3,500 babies and perform 700 major gynecologic surgical procedures per year. Major/Essential Functions

• Work a shift based schedule providing inpatient care;
• Manage patients admitted to the labor and delivery unit;
• Evaluate and treat patients in OB triage and the emergency department;
• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries;
• Respond to acute obstetrics emergencies and emergency surgical procedures;
• Manage postpartum floor care and complication;
• Participate in quality improvement, continuing education and patient care programs established by the hospital(s); and
• Participate in the education and training of medical students and residents.
