Provide OB hospitalist coverage with flexible monthly scheduling and a broad mix of routine and high-risk obstetric care.

Highlights

• Flexible monthly scheduling
• Approximately six shifts per month
• High-risk obstetric case mix
• One to two certified nurse midwives available

Practice & Cases

• Inpatient OB hospitalist coverage with approximately 65-80 deliveries per month
• Routine and high-risk pregnancies, labor and delivery, and emergency OB and GYN consults
• Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, VBACs, and complicated deliveries
• Work alongside OB physicians, nurses, operating room staff, and residents when available

Schedule

• 24-hour in-house call shifts
• Weekday availability required
• Weekend coverage also available
• Ongoing monthly coverage

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification
• ACLS, DEA, and NRP required
